The Coal Creek watershed's headwaters are located near the Townsite of Irwin west of Crested Butte along Kebler Pass Road. Coal Creek flows east through the Town of Crested Butte and ends at the confluence with the Slate River.

Calendar of Events  The next CCWC general meeting will be held Tuesday, August 19th at 3PM at Town Hall in Crested Butte. (Note: Meetings are typically held the 2nd Wednesday of each month.)  The public is encouraged to attend. Contact us at

Who We Are The CCWC is a collection of citizens, representatives from local, state, and federal agencies as well as local community groups. The organization brings together diverse interests and backgrounds and strives to reach decisions through consensus and collaboration.
